Energy Information Administration - Renewable and Alternative Fuels
Data about renewables and alternative fuel production and consumptions. Reports feature trends and projections for these energy sources.
National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) - Data and Tools
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory is a national laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy. NREL provides maps, data tools, and publications on biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, marine & hydrokinetic, solar, and wind energies.
EMBER
Ember is an independent energy think tank that aims to accelerate the clean energy transition with data and policy. It includes data, research, and insights on renewable and non-renewable energy.
REN21 Renewables Now - Data and Reports
REN21 is a global renewable energy community comprised of scientists, governments, NGOs, and industry players. REN21 publishes several reports including an Annual Renewable Global Status Report covering data and analysis on market trends, policy, technology, investment flows, energy efficiency, and other topics.
Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) - Data
Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, The Solar Foundation, and SEIA track trends and trajectories in the solar industry across the US. Charts and graphs track growth, capacity, costs, and impacts of the Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC).
The U.S. Wind Turbine Database
The United States Wind Turbine Database (USWTDB) from the U.S. Geological Survey, provides the locations of land-based and offshore wind turbines in the United States. The full data set is available by download in several formats.
USDA - Biofuels Data Sources
The Biofuels Data Sources matrix provides access to selected sources of economic data on biofuels from the U.S. Government. Data come from the Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Energy (DOE), Census Bureau, International Trade Commission, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an intergovernmental organisation that supports countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future. IRENA has information and data on bioenergy, geothermal, hydropower, ocean, solar, and wind energies.
Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)
SEIA is the voice of the solar industry, advocating for the protection and expansion of the U.S. solar market.
International Solar Energy Society (ISES)
The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) have undertaken the product research that has helped the renewable energy industry to grow. ISES publishes a Renewables Global Status Report each year.
Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC)
The Global Wind Energy Council is the international trade association for the wind power industry. Some data and research is available to non-members including the Global Wind Report and GWEC Windsights.
American Wind Energy Association (AWEA)
The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is the national trade association for the U.S. wind industry. The AWEA tracks wind policy and provide fact sheets about wind projects and economic impact.
International Hydropower Association (IHA)
The International Hydropower Association (IHA) is a non-profit membership organisation committed to advancing sustainable hydropower. The IHA publishes an annual Hydropower Status Report with insights and trends on the hydropower sector.
Renewable Fuels Association (RFA)
The RFA is the leading trade association for America’s ethanol industry. Statistics include production, supply and demand, trade, and grain use.

Renewable energy: Federal and Regulatory

Database of State Incentive for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE)
DSIRE is the most comprehensive source of information on incentives and policies that support renewable energy and energy efficiency in the United States. DSIRE is operated by N.C. State University and is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE)
The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) unites finance, policy and technology to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy. ACORE is the focal point for collaborative advocacy across the renewable energy sector.
Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
The SEIA tracks the details and the impact of the Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC). It also supports additional legislation for other tax benefits for solar adoption and installation.
