Industry Standards and Government Regulations Impacting Supply Chains

European Union - Deforestation

New. Starts on 30 December 2024. Need to ensure that products imported into the EU or exported from it are free of deforestation.

Human Trafficking, Slavery, Forced Labor - United States

New. Effective as of  June 21, 2022.  Prohibits the "import of goods, wares, articles, and merchandise mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR)  of the People's Republic of China."  List of affected entities include Hoshine Silicon Industry Company, producer of silicon based products for the semiconductor and solar panel industries.
