Open Access Business Resources: General Resources

This resource contains books, journals and articles from important international databases. There is an option in the search bar to select only their open access materials. The Guided Walk provides a tutorial for users who are new to this resource.

OAIster is a union catalog of millions of records that represent open access resources. This catalog was built through harvesting from open access collections worldwide using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). Today, OAIster includes more than 50 million records that represent digital resources from more than 2,000 contributors. (from the OCLC site).

A freely accessible site for searching only OAIster records is available. Additionally, OAIster records are fully accessible through WorldCat.org, and appear as WorldCat.org search results along with records from thousands of libraries worldwide. The OAIster database is searchable on the OCLC FirstSearch service, providing another valuable access point for this rich database and a complement to other FirstSearch databases. The objective of this work was to address the need for one easy-to-navigate online platform to facilitate the dissemination and sharing of global health knowledge. WDI partnered with the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) and USAID to develop a large open-access collection of global health market literature. With colleagues from RHSC and USAID, we designed and developed the website, conducted literature searches to source content and engaged contributors and users across the global health community. This knowledge-sharing platform will increase returns on donor and other stakeholder-funded research and help advance global health objectives.

OpenDissertations.org is a collaboration between EBSCO and BiblioLabs that brings an innovative approach to increasing traffic and discoverability of ETD research.
