Healthcare research

Healthcare market research often uses epidemiology, prevalence and incidence data to help size potential markets.  Epidemilogy concerns the incidence, distribution and control of diseases and helps us understand how many people have a disease or disorder; prevalence is the proportion of the population with a specific characteristic or disease; and incidence tracks the number of new cases developed during a specific time period.  This data can help size the potential population of consumers who could benefit from the ATT technology.  Professional and advocacy organizations are a great place to find specific, relevant data and additional research.
